Milestone 1
Our hero must defeat the enemies in each room in order to progress through the dungeon. On the other hand, the second player takes on the role of the final boss’s minion, whose task is to interfere with each of player 1’s runs.
To do this, player 2 is presented with a selection of cards to choose from. These cards may contain traps, enemies, or crates that block the hero’s path. However, they can only be played if the player’s energy bar is sufficiently charged to meet the cost of the selected card.
Since the hero is exploring a dungeon, we’ve chosen a medieval-style aesthetic.
Our main inspirations are The Binding of Isaac, for its top-down gameplay and room-based progression, and Clash Royale, which inspired the mechanics of the card system.
