Devlog #4: New Bonuses & Polishing The Rythm Mechanic
๐ New Bonuses
During the past two weeks, we've developed two new bonus bullets. The first one is what we call an explosive bullet, and it creates a wide area of damage, able to attack many enemies at the same time. The second bonus are two drones who help the player by shooting one more bullet each, providing a wider attack range. The difference between this last one and the triple bullet is that during this final bonus, the player is also in possesion of the explosive bullet.
Additionally, we also made the bonus meter step variable, so it get harder to upgrade the bullets proportionally to the current bonus level.
๐พ Enemy Shooting Mechanic
Now enemies are able to shoot and attack the player. They shoot randomly in an interval of time, and when the player gets hit, the player's spaceship gets downgraded and loses fuel.
๐ ๏ธ Key Spamming
We also remove the posibility to spam the rythm keys to always hit the while pressing all the buttons. Now, when a key is pressed and doesn't hit a note, the spaceship is downgraded and loses fuel.
